Ms. Longaker has been a visual arts teacher for 30 years 24 at CPS. She has at taught at the elementary, middle school, highschool and PG level.
I embrace the philosophy that art is a life skill: visual arts can lead to social emotional well-being, teach empathy, and promote self awareness.
By having a strong visual art program as well as integrating the arts into our core classrooms we help each student develop their capacity to empathize with one another and the greater community.
