2024-2025 Bus Fees
Bus Fee Letter for Grade 7 & 8 Students 2024-2025
Under Massachusetts State Law Chapter 71, Section 68 schools are required to transport pupils in grades K-6 who live two or more miles from the school. Providing transportation for students in grades 7 and 8 is optional, regardless of the distance from their residence to the school. As in past years, the district will charge a bus fee for all students in grades 7 and 8 riding the bus during the 2023-2024 school year. In an effort to alleviate the strain of paying multiple fees, the School Committee has approved an amended fee structure for families with multiple riders. The fee for the first rider from a family is $395.00 and the fee for each subsequent rider is $197.50, half the price of the initial bus pass fee.
Bus fees may be waived for a student with an approved Free or Reduced Meal Application on file. For more information on how to apply for Free and Reduced Meals please visit the Carlisle Public School website and click on the Free & Reduced Application link in the Important Documents section of the Business Office webpage.
Bus stops are published on the school website prior to the start of school. Bus passes will be generated over the summer and given to students at the start of the school year.
Students without passes will not be allowed to ride the bus to or from school after the first few weeks of classes, and this includes the afternoon late bus for after school activities.
