Carlisle Middle School Basketball:
For Girls' and Boys' in grades 6-8
Practices will begin on Monday December 3rd. It is required that you sign-up in the gym, complete your concussion training, bring a signed permission slip and have a current medical on file with the Health Office.
Depending on the level of interest, we may have a JV Team which will be decided in the week of 12/3.

Dear Parents/Guardians and Student Athletes,
Interscholastic sports of various levels, consisting of, but not limited to: middle school cross country (5-8), soccer, field hockey, basketball, baseball and softball begin in September and continue until June. Please be aware of the following requirements for participation.
We must have a current (within 13 months) physical on file with the School Nurse before the first day of tryouts or practice.
Tryout Expectation Form
All students trying out/participating in an athletic activity must hand in a signed “Expectation” form before the first day of try-outs/participation. This form can be downloaded from the school website under athletics.
Students will NOT be permitted to participate until their physicals and “Expectation” forms are handed in; failure to do so will result in negative consequences impacting your participation.
Head Injury Training
Given the new laws about head injuries, all families will need to complete an on-line training session. (see details in packet).
Once teams are determined, every student is required to pay a recently raised $225.00 user fee ($185.00 for Cross Country) for Varsity teams, and $125.00 for Junior Varsity teams. You may submit a written request for scholarship to the Business Office. This fee must be returned to the coach before an athlete will receive a uniform and/or participate. Please make checks out to the Town of Carlisle.
The start of school is an extremely busy time for everyone. We appreciate your efforts and attention to these details in a timely fashion. This procedure will ensure a smooth transition in to a new school year and will also enhance a student’s overall experience. You can find additional information regarding athletics on the above link.
