• Week of September 16th

    Red & Orange 

    This week in class we will complete chapter one in the Big Ideas Math text on Numerical Expressions and Factors. Students reviewed whole number operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. Students were introduced to powers & exponents and order of operations. They learned how to factor composite numbers and find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least COmmon Multiple (LCM) of two or more numbers. The chapter one test will be on Wednesday, September 18th. Resources including chapter notes, study guides and review questions to prepare for all tests and provide additional support are located in the Big Idea Math chapter folder in Schoology.

    All students took the ALEKS "initial knowledge check" last week. This is a wonderful tool that will provide me with a snap shot for each student and identify areas of strength and where they may need additional support.
