Welcome to sixth grade science! I hope we will have a great year together learning how our world works. We will do this by asking questions, learning about theories and models, and making some models of our own. In class, you will learn to work together doing labs, discussing questions, and solving problems.
The most important thing to remember during this year is that scientists learn by asking questions. Then, they do research and experiments to help them find the answers. Not knowing all the answers right away is OK! Trying out new, sometimes wacky ideas is how scientists learn. I hope you have a fun, question-filled year learning to think like a scientist.
