By fifth grade, students apply many of the elements and principals of visual art they have learned in previous years in order to produce highly sophisticated drawings, paintings and sculptures.  Paying attention to detail and craftsmanship is valued and often reviewed in classroom critiques and discussions. In fifth grade students study the art of Tibet, the Aztecs, and Aboriginal groups.
